Key trends for the season ahead

At Sussan, we search the world to uncover the latest trends, and then distil these trends into collections that are modern, fashionable and very wearable.

Our in-house fashion experts have identified four key trends for the coming season and put together a helpful guide to creating the perfect look. From gorgeous prints and fabrics to the latest must-have accessories, looking and feeling fabulous this season has never been easier.

FLORAL
This season, pretty floral patterns and feminine pieces are wardrobe essentials.

How to wear: Floral everything is a key trend - on dresses, blouses and skirts, and carried right through into accessories. Pair floral pieces with soft, neutral tones. Pintucking and smocking details give the look a prairie feel.

Key items: Long line floral maxi dresses and floral blouses. Floral accessories such as scarves are also key!

UTILITY
The trend was so strong last season that it has been reinvented for this season. The core colour palette is stone, khaki, beige and navy.

How to wear: Pair strong pieces with muted, neutral tones. You'll see this look at Sussan across our collection of shirts, dresses, jackets, shorts and pants.

Key items: Cargo pants and shorts in cotton or silk. A good tan woven belt is key to this look - belt everything with it. Tab sleeve shirts and shift dresses are also a great way to wear the trend.

ISLANDER
This trend is bold and bright, with animal prints, graphic patterns and shapes, and vivid colours. Accessories are key to this trend - try a red bag and loads of bangles to complete the look.

How to wear: If you want to make a statement then mix and match animal prints in muted colours with bold and bright tribal styles, or for a more subtle approach try layering jewellery and beaded accessories.

Key items: Accessories are key to this trend. A straw fedora is an absolute essential! Or try a sling bag in bright red, blue or orange. Basic tanks in a variety of colours are also a great way to complement the graphic patterns and animal prints.

WHITE
White pieces represent style at its purest. White on white styling is key for the warmer months ahead. From beautiful embroidered jackets and tops to easy-wearing linen pants and shorts, white is an important element in our upcoming collections.

How to wear: Ease into the trend by mixing back white with prints or neutrals - or be brave by wearing white on white.

Key items: White EVERYTHING! Jeans, shorts, shirts and jackets. White cotton dresses are an easy way to wear the trend.
