This month, we caught up with Jenny, our Warriewood Store Manager.

Tell us about your role at Sussan—how does it contribute to Sussan's story, and what does an average workday look like for you?
As Store Manager, I bring Sussan's story to life on the shop floor every day. My role primarily focuses on connecting with our customers - styling, listening, and creating a welcoming space where they feel confident and cared for. For me, each day is about building genuine relationships and turning simple interactions into meaningful, positive experiences.
What's something about your role that would surprise people?
The fact that we don't just sell clothes, we build relationships. As Store Manager, I make a conscious effort to remember customers' style preferences, as well as the personal milestones and stories they share with us. We are not just a store, we are a community.

What do you hope women feel when they step into a Sussan store or shop with us online?
When women choose to shop with us, I hope they feel seen, inspired, and at ease. I want every woman to feel comfortable and have a sense of belonging.
What does 'For Women. By Women.' mean to you, in the context of your work?
To me, it means we "just get it". We understand the day-to-day lives of the women who walk into our store because we're living those same busy, real lives too. Having that shared understanding helps us connect with and assist our customers on a deeper level.
What is the best piece of advice you have received from another woman?
'Wear what makes you feel comfortable.' When you feel at ease, confidence naturally follows, and you only look as good as you feel.
How has working at Sussan shaped your style or approach to getting dressed?
It's made me enjoy experimenting with my style while still keeping it practical. I love outfits that feel comfy but look sophisticated. It's a great combination for a full day on the go.
This month, our campaign, Flourish, is all about feeling refreshed for the season ahead. What little routines and daily rituals help you to flourish?
A quiet morning coffee and taking five minutes to style an outfit I love. These little rituals are important to me as they set the tone for the whole day.
Which piece from the new collection makes you feel especially confident or uplifted when you wear it?
The tailored blazer. It's effortlessly sophisticated and offers versatility.
Which new-season piece has helped your wardrobe flourish by bringing new energy to something you already own?
A vibrant printed blouse. It transforms my classic basics and makes familiar outfits feel brand new.
If you could tell the woman wearing Sussan one thing—about your work or why you do it—what would it be?
I love helping women feel confident in what they wear. Being part of that moment never gets old.
