HOW DO YOU AVOID SHRINKING COTTON TOPS?
It’s really not hard to avoid shrinking - or stretching - your much-loved Australian Cotton clothing. Cotton clothing care guides recommend:
- Always washing in cold water on a gentle cycle.
- Never throwing them in the dryer - cotton doesn’t like heat.
- Drying flat or draped on a clothes horse to avoid stretched hems and peg marks.
- Ironing if necessary with a cool iron.
The good news is cotton clothing is only prone to shrinking at the first wash, so if you treat your cotton tops with love from the very first wash they’ll always love you back.
